Otoplasty, often known as bat ear correction, is a procedure that pulls the ears closer to the head. Otoplasty is a frequent plastic surgery technique for adults and children with bulging ears. To fix a misshapen or projecting ear, plastic surgery is usually performed with a local anaesthetic and sedative; total anaesthesia is indicated for infants. With bat ear correction, a football-shaped incision is created in the crease behind the ear, some skin is removed, and the cartilage is shown.
