Vaginoplasty
Vaginoplasty is a reconstructive and cosmetic surgery operation for the vaginal canal and its mucous membrane, as well as vulvo-vaginal structures that may be missing or damaged due to congenital disease (e.g. vaginal hypoplasia) or acquired causes (e.g. childbirth physical trauma, cancer). As a result, the term vaginoplasty refers to any aesthetic, reconstructive, or corrective vaginal surgery, whereas neovaginoplasty refers to treatments that involve partial or entire construction or reconstruction of the vulvo-vaginal complex. Various results attempt to strengthen the function of the vulvo-vaginal area, firm up and restructure tissue for young appearances, and are sometimes referred to as “vaginal rejuvenation,” “aesthetic vaginal surgery,” or “cosmetic vaginal surgery.”
